Some are calling it cruel and unusual punishment while others say they got what they deserved. Either way, it is being done and would seem to prove an effective deterent.
For 2 four hour shifts, two people had to wear a sign stating they were shoplifters and stole from Wal-Mart. Both sentences were carried out on consecutive Saturdays to avoid jail sentences.
