I subscribe to NewScientist Magazine. Back in November of last year, I believe it was, they had their 50 year anniversary and in that issue they asked some big questions such as does free will really exist and what happens after we die. Well, today they have linked to the article on the afterlife and I thought I would share it.
Over the years many have tried to prove that life after death exists. Some even took their own lives in an attempt to prove it by way of mediums and codes. Others set up items in operating rooms that can only be seen if one is floating near the ceiling, while others attempted to weigh the body during the dying process to see if weight is lost proving that the soul has left the body.
One concluded that "...the answer to the question 'What happens when we die?' might in fact be: 'Our souls go into sheep.'"
You can read more on this here.
Some questions:
-What are your thoughts on the afterlife?
-Why are we so fascinated or frightened by it?
-What about Saul's encounter with Samuel after his death (1 Samuel 28:7-25)?
-What are your thoughts on the extent to which people try to prove the existance or the non-existance of life after death?
