That is what a little girl in Ottawa, IL found in her happy meal as well as a lighter and pipe. Her parents took her and her two siblings through the drive through and on their way home discovered the additional items packaged in the child's happy meal. She thought they were toys... her father immediately went to the police and the local McDonald's cooperated in the investigation which led to the immediate termination of a 17 year old employee by the name of Brandon Scott which then led to his arrest and subsequent charges. The parents are still considering sueing.

Some questions:
-Should the local McDonald's share any responsibility in this?
-What reasons would the family have to sue? Would they sue the 17 year old or McDonald's?
-What would you do if your child found drugs in their drive-through packaged meal?
-What can and should be done to prevent things like this from happening?
