Soft Drinks = Metabolic Syndrome

Sodas, soft drinks, pop, whatever you call it, it is supposedly now bad for you; or at least the sugar is according to researchers conducting a study on the issue as evidenced below.

...drinking one or more sodas a day was linked with a 44 percent higher risk of participants developing metabolic syndrome, Vasan's team found, compared with drinking less than a soda a day.

You can read more here.

Some questions:
-Will this study impact your drinking habits?
-Do you trust studies like this?
-If you believe that soft drink consumption is bad for you, does that stop you from drinking it anyways?

I distrust most studies. I'm a research skeptic.

Also, since when have soft drinks ever been considered "good" for you?? Wow...these "soft drink analysts" sure proved that wrong!

You just made me feel a lot better, Susan. I agree. These researchers don't know what they're talking about. Now, where's my Mountain Dew?
