Cellulite Demples No More

Don't worry women, New Scientist reports: [Alexander] Dagum says cellulite can be reduced by injecting infected areas with collagenase, an enzyme that digests collagen. The treatment can be given either by injection or by applying patches every 4 to 6 weeks.

Dagum claims to have tested it on 10 women and reduced the cellulite by 70%. You better start investing now!

Some questions:
-Why are women concerned about such things as this while men are not?
-Why do women spend millions on beautification products a year while men could care less?
-Why in the animal kingdom the males are generally the ones with decorative displays and they spend a lot of energy and time on attracting a mate while in the human sphere of things it appears to be the opposite?
-Do women care more about impressing other women or about impressing men when it comes to things like this?
-Should these things even matter? If no, then why do we spend time and resources on buying and applying them?

Have you read John Eldredge's book "Wild at Heart"? A good book, as is the companion book "Captivating." Might be enlightening regarding this subject for you.

Thanks for the recommendation. I don't really prefer Eldredge's theological outlook or implications in his books, but I do appreaciate the comment. I think Eldredge is too "mystic" in his outlook on what it means to be spiritual and I think he would be hard pressed to back up some of his conclusions on biblical teaching (such as finding heart shaped objects that remind him of God's love for him and that is God's love notes to him).

As for the questions, those are for introspection moreso than me looking for answers for myself. They are also for commenting on, which you have done and hopefully those things will lead to more discussion in the future. Thanks again.
