An artist killed herself after aborting her twins when she was eight weeks pregnant, leaving a note saying: "I should never have had an abortion. I see now I would have been a good mum."
Emma Beck was found hanging at her home in Helston, Cornwall, on Feb 1 2007. She was declared dead early the following day - her 31st birthday.
Her suicide note read: "I told everyone I didn't want to do it, even at the hospital. I was frightened, now it is too late. I died when my babies died. I want to be with my babies: they need me, no-one else does."

It seems to me that people treat abortion as a medical procedure only and completely ignore the pschological and emotional problems that can follow. It's foolish to simply reduce abortion to a "procedure". Do people suffer depression from having their gallbladder or kidney stones removed? Do they need counseling for that? No. But abortion cannot be classified as such, and I think that's what people do. Since when is scraping human life from the womb a simple medical procedure? The abortion industry (for that is what I think it is--a money making business) would want you to think that way. I think they deceive women. It's not just the unborn babies I grieve for; I grieve for the woman who will not be the same after abortion.
Why doesn't society encourage abstinence? That IS a question! It seems hard to do so of course no one is going to practice it-why make people do something they don't want to do? It's not possible to abstain anyway...well, that's what seems to be implied by sex "education", anyway. Except, of course,for hundreds of people that I personally know, as well as my husband and myself, who successfully practiced abstinence until marriage. Sheesh.
What a mixed up world we live in.
In this world, abortion is simply a way to cover for your "mistake" so that you may go on living how you please. Abstinence does not allow you to live as you please, so why encourage it?
