I don't really know of a time that the government that I helped to elect (by that I mean participate in the democratic process) listened to me on how to make our country more efficient (especially government). So, I doubt this will get it repealed. It was more of an observation than a gripe.
I know the argument for daylight savings, but I am curious as to how they would measure such a thing as productivity given an extra hour of daylight (or taking that away).
One of the last courses I took while finishing school was one on alternative energy solutions. The topic I had submitted for research dealt with Daylight Savings Time and how - I thought - it was for a different time under different circumstances and that the world had changed so much that it was no longer necessary.
I dumped that topic when I started really looking in to it. Sadly, it does work from an energy consumption standpoint. However, I'm not so sure that it should have been extended like it is now. Then again, the numbers for that are probably a few years out from now - if they exist at all.

I second it.
Is this going to get it repealed?
Or are we just griping?
:)

SO overrated.
I don't like all this "lose an hour" business. I am TIRED today.

very off topic, but I just now clicked on the "stuff white people like" link. hilarious. i could get stuck reading it and laughing for a long time.
misawa,
I'd be interested in seeing what data you had collected that made DST look like it actually did reduce energy consumption.
Like you did, I identify it with a time long gone.
