You Don't Have To Look Far To See That Evil Abounds

Police in Austria have entered a cellar where a man allegedly held his daughter captive for 24 years, during which time he may have fathered seven children by her.

You can read more here.

Some questions:
-What do you think the punishment should be for Josef Fritzl?
-After 24 years of being locked in a basement, fathering your father's children, how do you think Elisabeth Fritzl will cope with society? With what took place? With life?
-What is society's responsibility in helping her?
-How should the Church respond?

At the age he is now there isn't a lot that can be taken from him that would be just in the eyes of the public to be considered worthy of his actions. Elisabeth will never be able to cope with real society. She can't have any grasp on what life is like as a normal human being. Her social skills will be nonexistant, as will the 3 children that were there with her the whole time. She has been used as a sex slave by her own father, what hope of any trust being formed with anyone to create an actual relationship with them is lost. The church...well...I'm not sure where that area of the world stands on belief, but prayer moves mountains and if there are missionaries in the area they could witness to the children and Elisabeth if possible to make them understand that although they may not feel "socially" acceptable now the only acceptance that matters is that of Christ.

Interesting little place this "Blogged Down World"...Kind of find it interesting.

Hopefully this "interesting little place" has caused you to stop and think, and ponder on things that you normally wouldn't take the time to even consider.

Hope to see you around more often with a "real" name :)
