Ron Paul A Trouble Maker?

Early in the day, state delegates supporting Paul's continued pursuit of the Republican nomination voted through a rules change that forced the state party to abandon its preset ballot of potential national convention delegates and open up the race to the rest of the state delegates.

The vote followed a rousing speech by Paul of Texas, who said his presidential campaign will continue as long as he has support.

But as the convention continued into the evening, chairman Bob Beers said the party's contract for the hall at the Peppermill Resort Casino had expired and the event would be rescheduled.

"Due to a rules change that left us on an overtime basis, we will recess the convention until a date that we are going to announce next week," Beers told a shocked crowd, which stood silent for a few seconds before erupting in boos.

You can read more here.
You can read Bob Beer's response here.

Some questions:
-Do you think it good what Beers did?
-Do you think it good what Paul is doing?
-Do you think situations like this are good for Democracy?
-What do you think of this statement: "We need to strike a compromise between perfect democracy and getting things done."? What do you think the founding fathers would think of this statement?

I think there should have been better preperations made so that what needed to be taken care of was taken care of. It's seems like they were trying to push off what the outcome was going to be. Ron Paul has every right to do what he's doing. That's what a democracy is all about.
There is no such thing as a "perfect democracy" and never will be. But our government has never done very well with "getting things done", atleast not efficiently. I think there must be a desire to get things done in the best democratic way possible. But as long as our government is ran by people, there will never be a perfect anything.

You wouldn't believe who this is if I told you. This really is a SMALL world!

Well...I dont' know if you know who you're talking to. But I'm not really in Cape. I heard you and your wife had your own photography business so I looked it up. You seem to be doing well, I'm very happy for you. I saw this on your homepage and found it interesting. Some of my students also use this site.

I meant some of my students get on blogs like this...sorry, my misunderstanding. I've never really gotten into the whole "blogging" thing till recent.

I know your not in Cape, I'm pretty sure you live in the S.C. area but I don't know of anything that would be happening there hence the reference to Cape.

I hope you are doing well. How is teaching going for you? I assume you are enjoying that field yeah?

S.C. Scott City or Scott Central? I'm actually living in Benton currently due to some negative circumstances. I love my career. Teaching is what I've always know I was meant to do. Not very good money, but definately my calling. If you can believe it, I'm actually teaching back at our old alma matter...isn't that ironic.

I had heard you were teaching there (T.W.K.). I believe it was my sister that told me. How does it feel to be on that side of things: to walk the halls as a teacher as opposed to a student? What are you teaching? I always thought you would be a good teacher; it seemed to fit you.

I would like to talk with you more, but I don't know how much you want posted on a blog that is accessible to the world.

By the way, I thought you were in Scott City. It is ashame they closed down the ice cream place there in Benton.
