Forced Healthcare For All

[Hillary Clinton] said she could envision a day when "you have to show proof to your employer that you're insured as a part of the job interview — like when your kid goes to school and has to show proof of vaccination," but said such details would be worked out through negotiations with Congress.

Headlined on the Drudge Report.

You can read more here.

Some questions:
-According to the article, the only way to ensure that all Americans have health insurance would be to force all Americans to buy it. She rejected the idea of punitive measures to enforce this policy. How then would you enact such a program?
-What are your thoughts on potentially losing a job position because you have a health savings plan and do not carry insurance?
-Do you agree with the policy?
-Does this change your thoughts on Hillary?
-How do you feel about a mandate forcing you to be insured?

So, Hillary thinks that a woman has the right to decide if her unborn child should live or die, but the same woman does not have the right to choose a health savings plan over insurance? Crazy.
The thought of being forced by the government to buy health insurance scares me because the more control we give them the more freedoms we lose.

I'm with Kellye here - what this country does not need is more government regulation.

There was another article I caught on this that says Hillary was taken out of context and that Matt Drudge is a disgrace.

See what you think.

Political sharpshooting. Had the title been "Hillary envisions healthcare for work" would he have the same problem? I do find it ironic that a political writer from Time magazine has his boxers in a bunch over a misleading-ish headline.

I don't know how far down the page you went with the comments, but both sides of the fence had several, several people who didn't do anything to further the cause for their political bent. Mostly it was just name calling and cheap shots built off of preconceived notions.

Why can't people just make an informed statement and leave all of the name calling out of the picture?

I didn't go far, mostly for the reasons you cited. I've been around some very spirited liberals and conservatives before, but I've never heard anything as nasty and juvenile in person as I do online.

Your last question is one for the ages. :/
