Everybody Does It...

So, we are at the St. Louis Zoo and after watching the Puffins shoot poo several feet across their exhibit, we walk into a small gift store before exiting that exhibit. To our chagrin, we see several books with words synonymous with poo in the title.

Some questions:
-Is such books necessary?
-Haven't we figured this out centuries ago?
-Why would a zoo carry such a book including humans with all the other animals?
-What are your thoughts concerning such a book?

Actually, I've been told that the "Everybody Poops" book is excellent when potty training. Babies fear this part of them leaving the body and them seeing it, therefore the book is useful. I personally didn't use it for potty training, but many parents that I know have. But why it was at the zoo is a good question.

I could do without the poo books.

I am an animal. I don't have a problem with people knowing it. It's just that I am the highest order of animal, that's all. I make moral choices, so I am a highest order animal in God's image.

I think being a dolphin might be fun, though.

Not keen on pooh jokes either.

When I was last in Estonia my choir were taking part in an Estonian service, as non-Estonian English speakers. We did our best with the local hymns until we came to the word pooh. Instinctively I knew not to look left at my friend and he knew not to look right at me. What did we do? You guessed it. Fifteen minutes of uncontrolable giggling from two "adult" men. Don't start me off on pooh!
