Teacher Holds Student Vote To See About Ousting Kindegartner

You can read a little more here.
You can read a lot more here.

Some questions:
-What was the teacher, Wendy Portillo, thinking?
-Do you think a child with special needs (Asperger's) should be subjected to this? Do you think any child should be subjected to this?
-If you were this child's parents, how would you respond?
-If you were the school administration, what actions should you take?
-If you could contact the school, what would you say?
-If you could email the teacher, what would you say to her?

This is one of the most ridiculous situations I've ever heard of. Unfortunately, this is an adult aiding in the bullying of a student by other students. Now, many people would say this isn't "bullying"...but what about singling someone out because of their differences doesn't scream bullying? We currently have kids killing eachother and killing themselves due to this type of abuse. And here, we have someone that calls themselves and educator, who's in charge of helping to rear our societies future, and she's condoning and even encouraging this type of behavior. Now don't get me wrong, as an educator sometimes it is tempting to single out some kid that is acting like an idiot and have the whole class vote them out of the class...but as an adult and as an educator that is not an option. But I guess you would have to have a moral compass for that to be true...apparently this lady doesn't have one of those.
