Memorial Day Tribute To A Fallen Marine
Billy Spencer was shot and killed while trying to drag his commanding officer, who was shot by a sniper, to safety. A truly heroic act of sacrifice.
May we not forget the sacrifices made by those who have come before us.
I have never been able to think of the day as one of mourning; I have never quite been able to feel that half-masted flags were appropriate on Decoration Day. I have rather felt that the flag should be at the peak, because those whose dying we commemorate rejoiced in seeing it where their valor placed it. We honor them in a joyous, thankful, triumphant commemoration of what they did. ~Benjamin Harrison

I Need Your Help
Seeing how Stage6 is pulling the plug, I need another site to host my videos. Quality wise, there is not an equal so I am considering Flash based encodes as opposed to DivX encoded files.
So, I need for you to view these two videos and do the following:
1. Test the controls and options.
2. Comment on their user-friendliness attributes and their not so friendly attributes.
3. Do you find that one's quality is better than another? Full Screen?
4. Give me your overall opinion.
Thanks.

Stage6 From DivX Is Shutting Down
This is a sad day for me. I rely heavily upon the Stage6 site for sharing my videos and embedding them in my website. Thursday is the last day for Stage6 so I will need to either find another site to upload my videos to or host them on my own server.
If you want to download any of them, you better do it before Thursday.
Here is the link.
Here is the shut down notice.
Any suggestions on other video sites? I am starting to use Vimeo but there is a file size limit.

The Providence of God in the Midst of a Storm
Below is a video I completed for Union University. It is a mini-documentary that lasts around 23 minutes. It attempts to give a brief history of the tornadic activity in Jackson, TN as well as document the events leading up to the tornado that devastated Union, what it was like in the dorms during the destruction and the aftermath it left behind. I end the video with a short explanation of how God is to be understood in light of the $40 million in damages sustained to the university and the miraculous fact that there were no losses of life on campus.
It is encoded as flash and is at a standard definition quality.
If you would like to see the file in High Definition (1920x1088) please visit here under "Documentary". You may need to download the DivX web player if you haven't done so already. It is safe, you just may not want the yahoo toolbar, if not, just uncheck it during the install process.
